it's in the bag

i really like the whole idea of bringing your own bags when you go shopping at the grocery store, trader joe's, the local target, etc. but, i can never seem to remember to bring them with me. i think these could work though. and they're cute, which matt says is very important.

and i came across this blog today by emily, who i know from living in pittsburgh. i spent quite a lot of time looking over all her posts and found some fun and helpful things in it. check it out.

we just got back from vacation last night! we had a great time all together. and now starts 2 weeks of wedding celebrations. umatt gets married this weekend and a bunch of family is coming in for it. and then my dear sarah sharpie is getting married next weekend. and i can't wait to see my co MOH for it! so, vacation photos to come soon, but maybe not till the weddings are over. it will be BIG fun though!

our dear friends isaac and sarah had their first son last week and we are so glad he's big and healthy! can't wait to see this little one grow up.

and we leave 8am sunday morning for vacation with the prater clan. we will be lounging all week in obx. matt is especially excited for tennis (he bought his own racquet this week) and paddle ball (if the harris teeter has it).


and if i don't get to the computer, happy birthday to my dear matty this sunday. love you so much. thank you for the most recent memory with you...benadryl nasal spray?

two years ago today, i returned home from an amazing e-team to bolivia. but, that's not the most important thing that happened on august 26, 2006. two years ago today, matt and i got engaged :) matt, even though i knew you were going to propose to me that day, i am so glad you did. saying 'i love you' the first time to you was so exciting, but it is even more exciting to say it to you today because i love you so much more now. thank you for the note you left me this morning...it made my day. love you, goober.

snippets of fun

if you didn't know, i love weddings. and one of my favorite things to do is look at all different kinds of blogs about weddings...whether it's photos or ideas. even though the ship has sailed on my own wedding day, i still love everything about weddings. my favorite blog is called snippet & ink.. everyday she posts these inspiration boards. for me, i get ideas of how maybe one day i would like to decorate my home or color schemes for rooms, etc. so, take a look sometime...maybe you will get some ideas too.

some exciting events are happening this week. not only is traci getting married, but matt and the covfel bucks softball team are in the championship! after easily advancing to the second round, we beat our bitter rivals (yes, in a church league) to make it in to the championship series. games are tonight, thursday, and then monday if needed. all at chichester field at 6:30. come one, come all. the bucks have been vying for a championship win the last 3 years, and as nick dimaio says 'this is our year.' (but, he says that every year) it will be a nail biting series. much love to the first basemen ; )

the countdown begins

in 7 days, traci and rick get married. i'm sure july 12th couldn't come sooner for my sister. and i can't wait either!!
