yes.

two years ago today, i returned home from an amazing e-team to bolivia. but, that's not the most important thing that happened on august 26, 2006. two years ago today, matt and i got engaged :) matt, even though i knew you were going to propose to me that day, i am so glad you did. saying 'i love you' the first time to you was so exciting, but it is even more exciting to say it to you today because i love you so much more now. thank you for the note you left me this morning...it made my day. love you, goober.

p.s. matt really likes the first picture cause he thinks he looks really buff!

snippets of fun

if you didn't know, i love weddings. and one of my favorite things to do is look at all different kinds of blogs about weddings...whether it's photos or ideas. even though the ship has sailed on my own wedding day, i still love everything about weddings. my favorite blog is called snippet & ink.. everyday she posts these inspiration boards. for me, i get ideas of how maybe one day i would like to decorate my home or color schemes for rooms, etc. so, take a look sometime...maybe you will get some ideas too.

and this...so true.

a real update to come soon!

let's go bucks!

some exciting events are happening this week. not only is traci getting married, but matt and the covfel bucks softball team are in the championship! after easily advancing to the second round, we beat our bitter rivals (yes, in a church league) to make it in to the championship series. games are tonight, thursday, and then monday if needed. all at chichester field at 6:30. come one, come all. the bucks have been vying for a championship win the last 3 years, and as nick dimaio says 'this is our year.' (but, he says that every year) it will be a nail biting series. much love to the first basemen ; )

p.s. 4 days and counting for t's wedding!

oh what a night

last night was pretty awesome. about a month ago, i heard that coldplay was putting on a free concert at madison square garden. the only way to get tickets was to enter on their website and there would be a random drawing to see who would get them. about 2 weeks ago, i got an email saying i won 2 tickets! so, matt and i hypermiled up to nyc to go and it was totally worth it. our seats were dead center in the back. the hour and 10 minute set included favorite such as clocks, yellow, fix you, and a lot of songs from their new album. i was really excited to hear those cause i've been listening to it constantly the last week. you can really tell they think through how to make it a great show. the lighting was amazing. matt got so distracted by the lights, he forgot about the music. and instead of having one big video backdrop, they opted for six hanging oversized lightbulbs onto which images and closeups of them playing were projected. it was fun. chris martin was so relaxed he even messed up a few songs and said, 'this is the first time we're playing this in concert...we have to get it right' and did it over again. they came to the back arena at one point, very close to us, and played some songs acoustic. they really put on a good show and if you ever get a chance to see them, go. our trip that included kate martin, an almost fist fight on the train, crazy jersey girls, molly sims, a 3 minute intense thunderstorm, and beef jerky was totally boss. thanks to hubs for taking me.

let's go bucs!

'bout time

i have been asked numerous times lately, from my adoring fans, when i was going to post again. so, here you go. this post will be sadly lacking photos.

i finally got my new car and love it!!!!

we've been quite busy lately. the bachelorette party i mentioned in the previous post went off without a hitch! but, instead of going camping as planned, we went into the city! we ate at el vez, a super swank mexican restaurant, and rolled with the celebrities.

that next weekend, i went down to orlando while matt stayed up here. i had a blast with my mom's family. the weekend was full of ball bopping, euchure & yahtzee, laying by the pool, laughing and food. matt had quite the time while i was gone. he made his own beef jerky. according to him, it was top notch. and then he and my dad went camping and to a phillies game.

and then that next weekend, we had traci's bridal shower. it was low key and chill. and weird that it was the last of the sisters bridal showers. i can't wait for her wedding. it's going to be so beautiful and i'm jealous that her pictures are going to be so good.

and then last weekend, i shot a wedding and matt came along as my second shooter. the wedding was outdoors in 98 degree weather. it was a long day, but the bride and groom were very relaxed and matt and i had a lot of fun together.

and now this weekend, my dear friend angela is getting married. i have mixed feelings on this one because i am so excited that she is getting married and to such a wonderful guy, but she is moving away too. ange and i have had so many great memories together. the blue team at youth camp, the brook-lean eteam, the bolivia eteam, mischief nights, na, serving on the ateam together with traci bob, girls nights with steph and sharpie, this past youth camp, and everything in between. no, i am not crying. i can't wait to add another memory together this saturday when i get to stand beside her as she marries her best friend. and i will be going to visit them down in g-burg...for sure. here is one of my favorite pictures of us. we're in bolivia eating the mosty yummy popsicles.

tomorrow, our little sister jenny will be graduating middle school and moving on to high school. a celebration is definitely in order.

and we at 825 s. high street pray that this heat wave is over soon because it is so unbearably hot in our apartments.
