we &hearts nyc

m&m had a wonderful christmas. our actual christmas day was spent with both families. matt's grandparents came in to town from iowa, so it was very good to see them, along with the tom malinaric's. and we've been able to spend some more time with them this week. and then we had the annual two hour opening of presents at my parents. highlight was rick's airzooka. and i must report matt did a fantastic job buying me unpractical presents this year and picked some winners. with some thanks going to traci, but i am very proud of him. so, all around, a very enjoyable christmas. i love the holidays and was really able to enjoy them this year. matt isn't as in love with them as i am, but he really tried this year and it made them more enjoyable for the both of us, i think.

so, the day or weekend after christmas, my family is trying to do an annual nyc trip. we went a few years ago when matt and i were first courting. we've been unable to go the last few years, but trying to pick it back up. unfortunately, kel and corey were unable to come with us. but, it was a beautiful busy nyc day. here are a few photos-

this one really cracks me up, because when we went to london, traci was very serious about her map. three years later, she still is.

walking down fifth avenue.

rick and the empire state building.

this was something at the library that enamored matt. he was trying to figure out what it was.

this was right after some guy asked if i wanted him to take the picture so i could be in it...he was super shady.

mom and dad wanted their picture with santa.

just us.

rick and t dancing in bryant park.

mom and dad also wanted their picture in front of the tree.

traci and i really heart anthropologie...especially this one.

brother and sister in front of the plaza.

as you can see, we had much fun. we are debating if we are going to allow babies or not next year...

Did I miss something....? Babies? You all do everything together so I'd expect nothing less than three babies.
