one year.

one year ago today, we got married. it's been fun looking back over this past year recalling the memories and seeing God's goodness and grace in so many ways. we really do love each other more today then on january 27, 2007.

we had a great time in NYC with each other. a few pictures to come.

can anyone tell me what the first wedding anniversary is? traci thought it was aluminum, but i thought maybe it was paper...

I believe you're right Meg ... paper for the 1st (traditional). I think aluminum is traditional for the 10th!
Happy 1st Anniversary ... glad you had such a nice time away in NYC.

matt-
there is a tradition of giving specific gifts on specific anniversary dates. this apparently dates back to the Middle Ages. the first anniversary is paper. so, you can give me something like...money!

Happy anniversary! The year went fast, didn't it? I hope you had a great time in NYC--I love it there.

Btw, paper is traditional. The "modern" version is a clock.
