1 + 21 = oh happy day

today is february 27th. it is a good day for two reasons.

1. matt and i celebrate being married for one month.

it seems like quite a lot longer, but it's been lots o fun. happy monthaversary my husband.

2. today is my birday. i turn 21 today. scary, i know.

and i almost died this morning. i hadn't even been 21 for but a few hours and i almost slid right from my driveway into oncoming traffic and got crushed. but in god's sovereign plan, it wasn't his plan for me to die today. so, that definitely makes for a happy day!

matt and i got to stay home yesterday due to the snow and spend all of valentine's day together. but, i didn't seem like valentine's day when you have no contact with the outside world. and we both are a little sick. it was fun watching movies all day together though. but, my day started at about 6:45 am when matt got a call from his work saying that his office was closed. it woke me up but i was determined to go right back to sleep. matt had another idea though. he said he wanted to give me my valentine's day gift. but, at that particular moment, i didn't really want it. until out of the corner of my eye i saw blue. tiffany blue to be exact. and i knew that whatever it was, i was going to love it : )

and i did. i pulled out a silver necklace with a teardrop charm on it. it's lovely. as matt said, "i probably could've gotten somewhere else for a lot cheaper, but i think the fact that it's from tiffany's counts for a lot." and it does. and i love my husband.

the honeymooners

a week ago we returned from our honeymoon and reality set in very quickly. our week was filled with going back to work, cleaning our apartment, moving, withstanding the 80 degree temperature in our place, and many things breaking on us. it's been fun. it's nice to be home, but a part of us wish we were back in cabo lounging by the pool, especially since we we are getting a snow storm, as i type.

we went to cabo san lucas for our honeymoon and it was beautiful! here's some pictures.

a whale...i didn't get very good ones, but it gives you an idea of what we experienced. they were jumping and making whale sounds like you see on the discovery channel! it was boss...

that's the update from warm, sunny, not a rainy day, cabo...

we had very relaxing, enjoyable time and came back with nice tans.

this just in...our wedding pictures we sent in the mail yesterday. we should be getting them by the end of the week!

why blog?

not really sure exactly. i thought it'd be fun. something i can keep people updated with, share newlywed stories, pictures, homemaking stuff i've learned and just random things about my married life. i've already got topics from people on what to write about. i'd also like to hear from other people and learn from them. maybe meet some new ones too. and i really enjoy photography, so you may be seeing many pictures on here too.
but, in the next few weeks, i will hopefully be posting an update with pictures from the wedding and honeymoon. so, check back soon.
